I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. Aaron and I spent Christmas Eve at my aunt's house eating dinner and playing with my cousins little kids. We also had a visit from SANTA! We went to midnight mass Christmas eve and then woke up Christmas morning to open gifts. We didn't get much this year since the cruise was our Christmas gift, but it was still nice. We then went down to my Grandma's house where we ate tons of food and visited with a few of my aunt's and their families. Then we headed to my Dad's parents where we ate a little more and then went into a food coma :-)
We've pretty much just been relaxing since Christmas, but we're getting ready to head back to Oxford tomorrow because we both have to work on Tuesday. We also have to pack and get things ready for the cruise. Then we may head down to Kentucky a day early to visit with Aaron's brothers before we have to leave for Miami on the 1st.
We hope everyone has a great New Years and I probably won't post again until we get back from the cruise, so I'll see you in 2010!! :-)

One step closer..
To become licensed as a speech language pathologist you have to pass the PRAXIS. This is a standardized test that covers every area a SLP may possibly get into, so needless to say, studying for it is hard. I took the test on the 14th and we weren't supposed to get our scores back until next week, but they posted them early and I PASSED! I kicked the tests butt! I am so extremely proud of myself and now the only thing that's standing between me and becoming an SLP is student teaching this spring. I am so relieved and proud that all of my hard work is finally starting to pay off.

The end is in sight...
We have had a crazy past few weeks. Last week Aaron had a ton of group projects that were done and I had a lot of assignments also. We hardly saw each other at all Tuesday and we didn't see each other at all Wednesday (except when he was getting home from a group meeting at 3:30 in the morning and I woke up). Plus, on top of all of that we're trying to potty train a puppy! But the end is in sight!!! This is the last week of classes for both of us and in two of my classes we're taking our finals, so after Thursday I will be completely done! Aaron still has finals next week, but they shouldn't be too bad. Then we'll have a whole month off to relax and recuperate. In the spring I don't have any classes, but I'm student teaching full-time, but at least I'll have a normal schedule so I'll be home at a decent hour at night and don't have to get up at the crack of dawn.
This weekend Aaron worked Friday and Sunday so I spent those days getting work done and Saturday we put our Christmas tree up! :-) I can't believe it's almost Christmas, this year has gone SO fast! Aaand, last night we had our first snowfall. It's just a little dusting, but enough to make everything white! I'm finally starting to get into the Christmas spirit!
